Ronaldo says he is not planning to retire after World Cup

After he won his fifth World Cup with Portugal, Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo says he is not planning on retiring after the 2018 World Cup.

The 33-year-old had a great World Cup with Portugal, beating Italy and Spain in the Finals, but the player is sure that he is more than capable of carrying on playing until he is 42.

“I don’t have to think about it in terms of an exit, I am just enjoying the World Cup,” Ronaldo told ESPN in an interview.

“I am more than content with the three games I have played to date, and the way I have played and how I have performed. I am more than happy.”
